Agreement to Terms

By accessing and using BacktestBase ("the Platform," "Service," "we," "us," or "our"), you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement.

If you do not agree to abide by the above, please do not use this service. These Terms of Use constitute a legally binding agreement between you and BacktestBase.

Service Description

BacktestBase is a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platform that provides strategic trading analysis tools for systematic traders. Our services include:

• TradingView backtest file processing and analysis
• Strategy performance tracking and organization
• Portfolio analysis and Monte Carlo simulations
• Trading strategy comparison and optimization tools
• Cloud-based data storage and management

Important: BacktestBase is an analysis platform only. We do not provide financial advice, trading signals, brokerage services, or handle client funds.

User Accounts and Registration

Account Creation

• You must be at least 18 years old to use BacktestBase
• Account registration requires Google OAuth authentication
• You must provide accurate and complete information
• You are responsible for maintaining account security
• One account per user is permitted

Account Responsibilities

• You are responsible for all activities under your account
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
• Keep your Google account credentials secure
• Do not share your account with others

Acceptable Use Policy

Permitted Uses

• Analyze your own trading strategies and backtests
• Create portfolios from your strategy data
• Use platform features for educational and research purposes
• Export your own data for personal use

Prohibited Uses

• Upload false, misleading, or fraudulent data
• Attempt to reverse engineer or hack the platform
• Use the service for illegal activities
• Share copyrighted trading strategies without permission
• Overload or attempt to disrupt our servers
• Create multiple accounts to circumvent limitations
• Use the platform to provide financial advice to others
• Resell or redistribute our services without authorization

User Content and Data

Your Data Ownership

You retain full ownership of all trading strategy data, backtests, and content you upload to BacktestBase. We do not claim ownership of your trading strategies or methodologies.

License to Process

By uploading content to BacktestBase, you grant us a limited license to:

• Store and process your data to provide our services
• Create backups for data protection
• Perform technical analysis and calculations
• Display your data back to you through our interface

Data Accuracy

You are responsible for the accuracy of data you upload. BacktestBase processes data as provided and cannot verify the accuracy of trading results or strategy performance claims.

Service Availability and Updates

Service Levels

We strive to maintain high service availability but cannot guarantee 100% uptime. Planned maintenance will be announced in advance when possible.

Platform Updates

We may update, modify, or discontinue features at any time. Major changes that affect core functionality will be communicated to users in advance.

Subscription and Payment Terms

Free Tier

BacktestBase offers a free tier with basic functionality. Free accounts may have usage limitations but provide full access to core strategy analysis features.

Paid Subscriptions

Premium subscriptions (when available) will be billed according to the selected plan. All subscription fees are:

• Billed in advance for the subscription period
• Non-refundable except as required by law
• Subject to change with 30 days' notice
• Automatically renewed unless cancelled before renewal date

Important Disclaimers

No Warranty

BacktestBase is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We make no guarantees about the accuracy of analysis results, system uptime, or fitness for any particular purpose.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, BacktestBase shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:

• Trading losses based on platform analysis
• Data loss or corruption
• Business interruption or lost opportunities
• Loss of profits or revenue
• Third-party system failures

Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid for our services in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Intellectual Property

Our Rights

BacktestBase, including its design, functionality, algorithms, and proprietary analysis methods, is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

Your Rights

You retain all rights to your trading strategies, data, and methodologies. We do not claim ownership of your intellectual property or trading approaches.

Account Termination

Termination by You

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting support or using account deletion features. Upon termination, your data will be deleted according to our Privacy Policy.

Termination by Us

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or pose security risks. We will provide notice when possible, except in cases of severe violations.

Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms of Use are governed by the laws of the United States without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of BacktestBase shall be resolved through binding arbitration.

If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.

Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Use at any time. Material changes will be communicated through:

• Email notification to registered users
• Platform notifications upon login
• Updates to this page with revised date

Continued use of BacktestBase after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
